Externally I agree it's gorgeous and it's great they're performing better on dynos than stated on the paperwork.

But that autobox and interior #-o . It's just unforgivable. You can't sit in it and even imagine that's it's anything other than another BMW. They've made the absolute minimum effort to convert it.

Manual version, then a completely original interior and control console. Then just maybe you can forget that it's on a BMW powertrain.

Not that it's rubbed me the wrong way much

It's just waaay to busy on the outside, looks like they've driven through Halfrauds and Demon Tweaks with the magnets on

And don't get me started on the interior...

Whenever the Germans and Japanese get together it's exciting. Ask the 1940's.

Admittedly the engine seems impressive but it does seem like someone's let a toddler loose with some crayons on the styling. It's almost like someone styled the car out of clay about a third bigger, then it got accidentally dropped on the floor and squashed before being fired and then presented to whoever signed it off.

And I just want to flat-palm slap the rear spoiler for some reason. :-k

Loving this limited Edition Supra

Post by GreySilver Beast » Tue Sep 17, 2019 8:17 pm

The New Car is growing on me, but I can't get away from the fact that the Interior just looks like the New Z4 which it is based on :(

Toyota are testing a Manual Box at the moment and reckon it will be released sometime next year along with offering the 2.0lt version outside Japan :thumleft:

The BMW 8speed Sport Auto Box is one of the best gearboxes in the business, as it's one of the smoothest available and that the computer can change gear faster than what you could ever do :thumleft:

A friend of mine currently has a Black one on order at the moment and is hoping it will arrive soon, otherwise she will delay taking delivery, until 1st March 2020 :thumleft:

Faith collected her New Supra in Black today :thumleft:

I test drove the new Z4 M40i it was nice but not overly fast and didn't really make me that exited. Gave it a good blast on my own (no sneering BMW salesman next to me) and it was alright.

Seeing the new Supra at car shows it's something I could pretty much just walk past. Very poor looking car and pretty boring.

I also agree that the YouTube cretin is awful it's what I imagine David Cameron's son would be like if he had one what did car reviews.

I'm not so keen but maybe it's a grower. The unforgivable thing for me is the pops and bangs on gear changes away from the redline. If it's doing it when being pushed to the ragged edge then cool, if it's doing it changing from 2nd to 3rd at 40mph then that's about as lame as it gets imo.
