Come to think of it, the steering box has an oil weep, and the heater hose is crusty, all of which are that side, so maybe a job for next winter.
The stitching has gone, one side of the gear lever gaiter, which is a pita to remove.

I took her for a test drive yesterday, down the bypass, round the roundabout and back. Good oil pressure and the engine is really lively. Brakes could benefit from another bleed, as pedal a bit soft.
She deserved a wash before rolling back into the garage for the remaining minor jobs.
My mother, who is 91, is spending the day with us today. We were watching the film Genevieve about vintage cars doing the London to Brighton Run. The film was made in 1953, and those cars were about 50 years old, at the time.
It puts things into perspective that my Alfa is now 57 years old!
