Sneaky little bugger was in here but the wire runs through to the valve bodies inside the box. I hope this bit went back together how it came apart lol

Now I’m just waiting on the new sump gasket, oil and pump to put it in with. The rest of it is all back together 👍

One thing I did notice is the new sensor from Nissan the wiring is all covered in a sleeve, the one I removed the wire was just twisted and a small part sleeved. So I wonder if it’s been replaced at some point with a pattern part.

Or Nissan realised they fudged up and revised the design

Seeing there are a lot of GT86's and BRZ's out of Warranty by now, you could always break into that market instead Pete ;)

And Civic type r ep3 and fn2...engines are now highly regarded and sought after for swaps...my ep3 cost 1500 reckon 4k in bits.

I would define it better as "adjacency expansion", which has always been my preferred method of growing a business, and/or protecting it from changing market conditions.
