Hello, I am new to this forum
G'Day All, Trailblaser here from South Australia, I am not new rotaries, having owned a S2 RX7 for nearly 25 years, until, sadly, I lost it in a bushfire in November 2015. After years of looking around for another rotary, I finally found and bought, (in 2019), a 2007-2008 RX8 40th Anniversary model with low km's , in very good condition and good service history. And I love it!! I look forward to being involved with this forum.

G'day mate!
Strangely the access I have to Mazda Europe's systems for checking part numbers etc, also includes the details for the Australian and NZ models.
While most are the same as the UK, their are some significant and expected/unexpected differences.

Re: Hello, I am new to this forum
This got me wondering, so I checked.
The red/black interior used in the Aussie 40th is (mostly) available to order from Mazda.
You'd have to list and order each part separately, as there isn't a group part number for a complete seat, let alone an entire set of seats or the interior including door cards.
Some parts are currently out-of-stock (even in Japan) and those that are available are outrageous.
For example, a single front seat pad (just the foam and covering) is £1,414.97 plus VAT, so just under £1,700 ($3,090 AUD) to you.
At that point I gave up picking parts and pricing...

Insurance Company:
"After sending our inspectors out to examine the damage caused by the accident, we found some minor paint damage on the front bumper, however the damage to the front seat when you soiled yourself in the process is too great, and the cost to replace the damaged bumper and seating is now worth more than the car. It is going to be a write-off due to these factors"
probably never happen, but I'd find it amusing
