Last week I re-joined the RX-8 owning world when I picked up my 2006 Black PZ! I managed to get an example that the previous owner had owned and cared for since 2007! I owned a Velocity red 231 back in 2009/10 and absolutely loved the experience; only it became impractical as "daily driver", this time around its purely my weekend (and evening) car!
The car seems to be behaving itself; pulling clean through the rev range (perhaps a little bit less smooth at lower revs) and no hot start issues. Loving it!!
Plans for the car; ordered RRP Ignition Coils, plugs and leads from RRP and booked in for them to be fitted and oil/filter change at Boston rotary! .
When I owned my Velocity Red 231 I used to pre-mix, so I think I will get back into that! Also I hear that Millers 10/40w is the way to go with oil now. Will attempt to keep it running sweet on the current engine (49k in)!

Quick update! Had the RX-8 down to Pete at Boston Rotary today. Compression tested (good result!), Engine, Transmission and Diff Oil changed alongside new coils/plugs/leads fitted. Car feels brilliant and great chatting to Pete about the RX-8s, track days and cars in general!
