The gear knob is supposed to wobble. It's a trademark of the car. So yeah, depends how much. If you follow the guide above and the mounts look OK then I wouldn't worry about it. Signs of worn mounts are also trouble changing gear and mega vibration in the cabin.

Just got in from a drive and sat for a good while at idle. What I have noticed is that the "shake" seems to be in waves.

Say 10 seconds goes by then there is a shake, another 10 seconds shake and so on. You can almost feel it building.

I will try and get a look at the mounts tomorrow and will report back. Its been and adventure already. Only had the car 3 days lol.

Could be the a/c compressor or alternator load, as the PCM manages both in an attempt to keep the idle smooth, though you're not meant to leave it idling anyway...

AC was off, although I do remember that it seemed to get worse when i turned the AC on so it went straight back off.

Thanks for the advice warpc0il when I say left it idling I mean just while I was waiting to pick a friend up. Should i just turn her off if I am going to be sat for longer than 10 mins?
