I had an RX-8 about 8 years ago, but had to sell it due to the running costs and returning to uni after a placement year. I've been yearning for one ever since, but my commute just didn't allow for it.
Thankfully, fate transpired to make owning one viable again - due to Covid19 we have closed our office and will be working from home for the foreseeable future, and, thanks to my partner rolling my car after sliding it into a hedgerow a couple of weeks ago, I was in search of a replacement...
Enter stage another 231 RX-8 - even in the same colour as my last one.
It's on PZ suspension, has a Toyosport cat-back, and has had an engine rebuild, otherwise it's standard. Even after 8 years of straight 6s, I'd forgotten how smooth the rotary is! My plans are to remove the chrome fuel filler (anyone with a red car wanna swap?!), finish my cruise control install, add some sound deadening, and pretty much just enjoy it as-is. For fun (and fuel efficiency!) I've got my 2.8 swapped E30 325i to keep it company.
