Re: Hi
Hi and Ady1987. Now that isn't something we get asked every day. I'm sure it will interest the engineers and technically gifted among us. Sadly I am not among that group.

Re: Hi
Not sure how you would even begin to achieve something like this. Mating a rotary engine to the drive train for fwd is going to be a challenge.
Now a distant memory unfortunately.

Re: Hi
I'd say to look into sourcing an 2000 -2015 era audi a4 / 6 transmission as they are FWD but with an in-line engine
but cramming this into an mini will be very hard

Re: Hi
Luckily I got quite involved in a lot of work on my last R53 cooper s, so I know the engine bay layout well, the biggest issue is the long driveshaft centre bearing bolts to the engine block, right where the exhaust manifold would be. I'm wondering if it's possible to spin it around and bulid a firm mount for it off the subframe, but space might still be a problem.
I'm also looking into other applications that don't use a centre bearing, like vag stuff, but the diff flange is still brought close to the manifold on those

Re: Hi
Have you considered an NSU Ro8 engine rather than Mazda?
The Ro8 was fwd, with inboard discs.
