Hello I’m New Here and have a RX8 Import

Good Evening all,

Well I’m back with the same RX8 I had three years ago, and have just bought it back (must be mad lol) but I do love the car.

It’s a 2003 import from Japan, and a auto with a flappy paddle gearbox.

Car has been sat for a while by the looks of it, and put on a new battery and a full tank of clean fresh Super fuel.

Runs ok, maybe a little lumpy at idle, and was struggling to pick up when driven, however after a 30 min blast round tonight seems ok, if not a bit hesitant when pulling away.

Best practice would be a full service I’m sure, anything else I could do ?

You could fit a set of RRP MkII coils, as they're the only good aftermarket coils to work on a JDM car.

A full service and ignition upgrade will see you right. I can second the RRP system for the JDM too
