Hello and here's my PZ

Post by ianj »

Have had R87ARY 18 months now and love it to bits. 66k miles and two previous engine rebuilds. Not a perfect PZ but in very good shape now. Some stone chips to tidy up and wheels to refurb, but all Mazda recalls done now and some interior parts and boot struts replaced. In 18 month and 6k miles, not missed a beat. Sits alongside a turbo MX5 NA and a Clio 182 Trophy.

Not it's original registration, but found R87ARY had never been issued and the DVLA agreed to sell it.

Yes of course. The winning bid, plus buyers fee and admin assignment charge brought the total to about £250.

You simply check whether the DVLA have ever issued the plate you want, and if not - request that they put it in a future auction (Run by BCA). Then they tell you when it's entered and you have a week to bid and hopefully win it. Didn't think i'd get it at that price though.

Was asked only today at a filling station if i'd sell it.

Nice PZ, I requested W4 NKL from DVLA but they wouldn't do it due to the potential misinterpretation

Hi and :welcome: ianj. :D Looks good. 8) I'm guessing if you've had it 18 months you won't be needing my list of tips for new owners ... but I will give you the most important one:

5. Join the club for discounts on all sorts of things (you will very quickly get the cost of membership back - and then some), loads more info in the members only sections (including access to all the workshop and technical manuals), local meets (if you can't find one exactly local it is a good excuse for a drive if you come to one a bit further away), a sexy keyring just for joining and more. :thumleft:
