Mx5 Mk3. 5 with RX8 231 engine

Post by Paul_13 »

Hello

Just thought I'd introduce myself.
I'm an active member on mazda rotary club and haven't ventured over here yet.

I've got a mazda mx5 mk3.5 with a rx8 231 engine in. A few of you probably saw my car at jdm coombe.

I'll upload some photos when I figure out how

Thanks
Paul

I can put you in touch with the creator/owner of this car, if it helps...

It's interesting to see how others tackled the conversion. I literally couldn't find anyone who had documented it.
I gave up trying to fit the rx8 air box in the engine bay and I see that he used the mx5 fuse box... I contemplated doing that but got put off unpinning everything and relocating it.

Thanks for the offer, but there's no real need. Cars been on the road running for 7 months and to be fair the gear box has been the only major stumbling point

The main problems that JP had with his conversion were getting the climate control and cruise control working, both are fixed now.
