Long time lurker first time poster

Post by sizza »

:) Hello forumers

Been lurking a long time getting tips and enjoying my car, until recently!
Off the road with a few issues now, and may need some more help!

Specifically the good old "inbalanced assistance in power steering" problem that plagues many owners.
I'm looking for more solutions on that after trying the main known ones..

Based in Middlesbrough / North East UK

Cheers :thumleft:

1st thing to check is the state of the universal joint in the engine bay, give it a a good squirt of WD40 and work it back and forth to see if this helps at all

if not then there's a calibration procedure you can do with FORSCAN to reset it, I've never done it but there's a post on here somewhere about whats involved

Thanks! Been there, done that!
The Forscan fix doesn't accept any input - I was really excited about that one.
But yeh, literally when you press the button to set the value, nothing happens.
Think the Power Steering Control Module is likely borked

It could be the connector on the PSU has corrosion on its contacts, as that's becoming another thing
