Hi, I'm new and I think I've just made a mistake...

Hello, and in desperate need of help... I'm a lucky owner to my second RX8, an 07 so insane tax bracket winning blue beauty. The rabbit hole of despair begins with me thoughtlessly purchasing a blue tooth adapter like I did with my previous affair. That I stupidly left in the car when I scrapped it. (this is just the tip of the iceberg of my foolish decisions) Upon connecting everything up, it becomes apparent that my radio firmware is in compatible. Rather than purchase a compatible stereo (Why did I not do this?!) I decided to go full yolo, and purchase a fascia/metra kit from america on ebay. and double din pioneer stereo. Upon everything arriving. with several delays such as the original head unit arriving with a [edited] screen. I refused the option of a refund for a replacement (why?!) I get to fitting everything. It's a complete birds nest of adapter kits and god knows what. and instructions that make less sense than a chocolate tea pot. I plug the sereo in and get power, but no audio. the hvac plugs on the axxess adapater are smaller than the male plugs coming from the car. so they don't fit?


Other than literally selling everything ive just bought for a major loss and crying myself to sleep for the next few months. Does anyone have a suggestion to salavage this, so I at least have something to show for the end of this nightmare.

if you bought the metra from US ebay and you have a uk spec car there is a high chance it wont work as most of the us spec cars didn't have climate control.

yeah, my online searches have led me to believe that's the case. Was hoping for a miracle though...

Technical manuals are under the "FAQ - technical" section in the "RX-8 Owners Club Members Area". clicky it's a sort of mix and match area that covers any and every document relating to the RX-8 plus some DIYs and technical information. If you can't find what you're looking for, shout up and we may be able to link it for you

I believe it should have the electrical diagrams in there somewhere, and will show pinouts and wire colours for the stereo and dash related items.
