would S1 spoilers not fit an R3? i thought the bootlids were the same on both of them.

incidentally if you are thinking of selling your R3 spoiler.... :xmaswink:
Thanks, Stu

i did some investigating a while back to see if an R3 front and rear would fit onto an S1 (i like the R3 front end and the rear lights) and the concensus appeared to be that the bonnet and bootlid were the same on both (i might have this horribly wrong though :P )
Thanks, Stu

The base part numbers are the same, which implies that they use the same panel; so they should be interchangeable
The full parts numbers are different, due to both the colour and spoiler hole options.

An S1 boot lid will bolt straight onto an R3,so I'd assume the reverse will be true..I used an S1 boot lid for the GTR spoiler project..

As all above have said, the R3 bootlid and S1 bootlids are the same in terms of shape and are interchangeable.

Spoiler wise, anything goes really. Don't just limit yourself to ones listed for the RX8s either - as SeeJay has demonstrated!

I put an Irmscher spoiler from a vectra on and it looked quite good (although I was obviously biased!):

that said, it also depends if you're after a BGW or something a bit more OEM looking.

Don't for forget to tell you insurance company or, better yet, ask you current insurer what the impact would be.

More than a few members have discovered that the impact on their insurance was greater than the cost of the spoiler.

What sort of spoiler are you after and what's your budget?

I've got a GTC APR 200 fitted to mine if you wanted to see what it looks like in my project thread but I wouldn't recommend it as a 1st mod as it would look out of place on an otherwise standard car.

That does look very similar! Kudos on the bargain hunting as mine cost an extortionate £6.40...
