This is mine, but I used some of the old hose to connect the secondary pump. I have yet to install the my sohn adapter.

Hi,

Does anyone know if the SOHN adapter and kit will fit the RX8 R3?

Regards,

John.

Do people ever fit an inline filter to stop any debris getting into the Sohn adaptor?

It's fed with clean oil from a closed tank so you won't have any debris getting in.

That's true, but there's always a change of something getting in the tank when the lid's off and you're filling it up. Something's going to get in there at some point.

I've done a bit of searching and it seems most people don't fit any kind of filter. Someone's used a clear inline one, but I'm not sure whether I'll fit one yet as I don't want to reduce the flow rate with one.

If you notice that though, you can either fish it out or just drain the tank. Doesn't really take much to look in the tank each time you fill it.

I think there is more likelihood of the filter impeding the oil feed to the SOHN than there is of getting dirt into the tank when filling up.

Trouble is that if you don't notice some crap getting in the tank then you'll never know until it clogs a line and leads to eventual engine failure. Fitting a filter is easy. I wrote this up when I fitted mine back in Feb 2013 but I can't find the post! Before fitting I tested flow rate and it was way over what the OMP ever has to deliver. The filter I used was one intended for bio-diesel filtering. This one i think. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-Large-inlin ... SwQYZWtwr6

I decided to get a filter in the end, the same one as you by the look of it and I fitted it underneath the air filter as in my project thread.

hi there ,did you buy the kit new? if it doesnt owe you too much why not just have a seperate oil reservoir somewhere else, and leave the washers alone, rob.

The US and JDM cars didn't come with headlight washers, which means that their kits are only good for UK 192s

If it's the standard two plastic bottle set up then yep you can send the bloke who sells them on eBay a message and he can send you one out, quality can be variable, your other option is to just cut a hole in it to fit the pump
