I know what you're saying, I've got the ripspeed sub in this guide and it's surprisingly good. It's a small cone so doesn't give too much really deep tone, but just adds a little but more punch to the system. I can't do massive deep bass, the stuff I listen to isn't good for it, :D

Vinnie had a custom build in his boot? Similar to the linked one and is awesome.

I just got hold of a used Ripspeed sub (Ripspeed PSR-135A Subwoofer). Does anyone have a copy of the wiring diagram they could scan for me?
I will also post as a new topic.
Any help greatly appreciated

I've done a search but had no hits, has anyone looked into the possibility of fitting the Bose sub from a Mazda6?

Anyone tried these? http://www.pioneer.eu/eur/products/arch ... /page.html
They seem cheap, especially second hand, and can be mounted like warpc0il's solution above I think.

Sorry for resurrecting this thread... but I'm on my way on installing one of those small subs to my box between rear seats, the sub I thinking to buy and install is this one https://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA ... /TS-WX120A

Here is wiring diagram:

Do I need the RCA adapter for this installation?

Also, I have nexus installed in my car, what if I buy 3.5 jack splitter and plug 1 wire to my grom adapter and second to this sub, will this be a better solution?

It looks like that would need an RCA adaptor.

I'd assume that the grom is an input to the head unit for the Nexus, rather than an output.
If you were only ever playing music from the Nexus then it might work, or it might just throw all the levels out, but you wouldn't get any output from the radio or CD player to the sub.

Connecting with a RCA adapter across the rear speakers would mean that the sub would work for everything that was output by the headunit, including the Nexus via the grom.

I was thinking to plug 3.5mm splitter to nexus, so one output will go to grom and another to sub :D Or this won't work as planned and quality will be lower than using RCA adaptor?
