As Nigel said, you'll get better turn in with a staggered setup. I'm running 20 and 0 atm, but that'll change, not a fan of *that* much turn in for quick driving. for show boating, yes, for anything else not so much!

Just for reference I run 9J wheels with effective ET37 (use a smaller spacer/spigot adaptor) and 245/40/18 tyres and have no issues with the tyres rubbing so that works out as my rim is ~26mm further out than a standard one

That is with standard springs but am In the process of fitting coilovers so will see what happens...
Project thread Galaxy grey 231 - Street Port, Tein coilovers, decat, D585's, Cobra Catback whatever 9j wheels aren't broken at the moment and a massive wing

I realise that I didn't reply to this AGES ago.

I was (and still am) running 255/35R19s with 20mm spacers without issue, but that wasn't on a set of lowering springs which I'm running now :)

Lowering springs usually make the clearance issue worse rather than better, unless you also do something dramatic with the camber at the time.

Sorry, that highlights the typo - 'But that WASN'T on a set of lowering springs' is what I meant to say

I have edited the previous post :thumleft:

I've done that a few times, typed "can" for "can't", or "should" for "shouldn't" and it hasn't confused anyone ;)
