Borla Zorst .... Fitted today, Now with Piccy's

Post by Nice But » Tue Jan 09, 2007 11:48 pm

Ok Guys and Galls

After listening and looking at the Borla system on Dirty Leeds car I decided that it's the one for me.

So I am going to look into buying one for my Rex and know that if we can get a minimum of 5 people it can save us money through the Club.

Borla System

The last time the Club got some they came in at about £500

So who's interested? I will run the thread until mid to end of Feb and then order. Names on a list.....

No ramifications on warranty at all, as it's only a cat back system.
My local dealer fitted mine for me without question if you want a bit more proof.

Only knock on is a slight increase in insurance; probably between 10 and 30 quid depending who your with - "because it's shiny!!"
Though some people have been lucky and not paid any extra insurance after declaring it. It purely depends on how stupid your insurance company are when it comes to mods!

I can highly recommend the Borla - looks great and the sound is amazing without being too much.

Definitely recommend the Borla. The sound is great!!

I am insured with Admiral and they didn't adjust my premium. I just mentioned that it was a non-performance enhancing mod.

I thought the insurance was interested in modifications in order to replace them in case of accident.
If someone comes into the back of your carand you had a borla, the insurance company may rightly say they will only replace it with the original mazda part.
Is that incorrect?
I sold the RX-8, I got a Volvo.

What's wrong with me?! :-(

Thats correct, they may only replace it with the OEM part.
However, if you dont declare it, the insurance adjuster may well say that your insurance is null and void as you had undeclared modifications, and this your insurance didtn cover exactly what you car was. Then its all to your own expense.

Back on topic.
The Borla is indeed amazing, and had I not had my custom one made, I woul dhave went for the Borla as its my best of the rest

Not to sure about that one but being as I'm with Mazda that means more money so if i'm paying for it then I want it replaced or I may get very angry.......

The only noticable effect on mpg, is that you drive the extra distances so you can go find a tunnel to drive thorugh with the windows down!!
I see there you're from Walsall. Thats where I got my Custom Exhaust made and fitted - Check out MIJperformance.

IIRC mine cost about 30 quid to get fitted - basically half an hours labour.
And that was at the dealers, though you can take it anywhere to get fitted without fear of affecting warrenty or anything like (i.e. IT WON'T)
My advice would be take it somewhere you know and trust.

You could actually do it yourself as it's very easy to remove stock and fit Borla, though having a ramp to get the car onto could be handy!

Red dragon

The cost of £506.62 is delivered to your door, as long as we get 5 people to commit to buying. I think (DL will correct me if wrong) a deposit will be required and then payment when confirmed order.....

AB Rex..... If you are definate I will hold ordering until late feb so you can go for it.

List started again...... if you definately want one remove the question mark....

Tim

I wan't one

Tim, when I arranged a group buy they wanted half up front, half on delivery as they need to cover the shipping costs for bringing em over.
