Replacement catback
I’ve got a series 1 with original exhaust including cat and I’m looking to upgrade the catback for a more sportier sound. Budget of around £600. What are my best options? Thought of Cobra, RRP

Re: Replacement catback
All down to your preferences for noise and tone.
Plenty of previous threads avail, via search function if you wanted to deep dive research it.
At 600, I would assume your probably looking used? Other than Toyo/Gravity systems and maybe a cobra, I don't think you would get much new.
As many are aware, I like my Borla and it's more deep and unique tone to others on an 8.
I prefer the look of the Petit Racing Milteks 5 inch slash tips. You've just missed out on a nice one from Nick.
Not sure if he still has it but Nick had an HKS system I was looking at but a bit quiet. He is normally a good source of getting performance exhausts though as he puts many back to standard to sell.

Re: Replacement catback
If you can get your hands on a Milltek catback then IMO that's the one to have.I had it on my R3 and I absolutely loved it
The noise was sumptious and it looked superb with it's 4" slash cut tips.
I appreciate that they are very hard to get your hands on one but if you do manage to see one then snap it up,otherwise any of the afore mentioned ones are perfectly acceptable

Re: Replacement catback
Yes it depends what you want to achieve.
The cheap Toyo/gravity etc type ones are perfectly good and make a good noise for not a lot of money
Milltek/Pettit is the best looking and does sound great (too loud with a decat imo but each to their own)
Racing Beat is a favourite of mine, more subtle if you don’t want anything too loud.
Borla very good, somewhere between the Milltek and RB I’d say
I do have an HKS but I’m keeping it , it’s even more subtle than the RB which is right up my street.
