Whiteline ARB and tie rods

Post by Pippypip » Tue Nov 17, 2020 4:38 am

Hi all, so at the moment as some of you may be aware, whiteline is currently having a sale of 25% on all its products for Black Friday. So I am probably going to pick up a set as I have a problem with buying things that are on offer, but my question is to do with the tie rods.

Is it worth the extra £100 for the kit with 4 tie rods, or should I just buy the two separate bars for £255 if my tie rods are still in okay condition, as I think I have Japspeed ones on the rear and a set of relatively new oem spec ones on the front.

Cheers Phil

You want get any better than the Mazda ones . Saying that , if they are showing wear and you like a bit of bling go for it .

Are the Whiteline ones adjustable?
Do you have lowered suspension?

I’m interested in this
If the they are adjustable and the car is lowered, like mine is , should they be made smaller or bigger to suit ?

Shorter.

It should be a right-angle between the arm and the drop link, with the weight on the wheels.

Most important that both sides are the same length.

Smaller as the bottom arm that the drop link is attached to will be closer to the anti roll bar.
You want to keep the ARB as horizontal as possible under neutral conditions.
