Decent fuel hose which doesn't perish after 5 months

Post by Paul_13 » Sun Aug 25, 2019 5:21 pm

Having a bit of an ongoing saga with fuel hose at the moment.
Halfords fuel hose is sh!te, I don't know how they get away with selling it. I put this replacement hose on back in March this year, brand new out of the packet and it's perished already

I've bought some hose from an online manufacturer and it looks identical to the halfords hose

I'm going to stick this hose on and see how it goes, but does any one have a recommendation for decent hose which doesn't perish.
I'm having to use this hose due to the engine transplant and using mx5 solid lines

I’ve used ASH (AutoSiliconeHoses) which is on eBay and completely re-plumbed all hoses, fuel lines (stainless braided- be really careful where you get this from there is some poor imitation stuff out there). Good for stainless hardpipes too

try out Merlin Motorsport at Castle Combe, they might be able to advise and supply what you need.
Thanks, Stu
