I think I have only ever opened my rear window once, but it would just be good to know..

I think I read in their FAQ that as these are not affixed to the glass, they do not open when you open the window.
So if you picture a standard wind down window, the window would go down whilst the tint remains in place..

.. I don't know what our kind of rear windows are called? pop out?
We have the hinge thing affixed to a point on the window, so how does the tint sheet address this? Is there a cut out to go around the fixings, if so there would be a gap left??

Anyone got any pics of these from the outside? Looks like a pretty nice alternative to tints and can imagine it's easy to remove when needed. I haven't checked out their website yet but do they only do one shade % or are there options?

In that case might just try the rear on its own. The lack of light coming in from the back should make the side rears appear slightly tinted.
I've always been cautious of getting the side rears tinted as I think it would look rubbish when next to the fronts which are standard.

I have soft-vinyl sun shade sheets on my rear side windows, which just self/static grip to the inside of the glass.

They are black with small clear spots, a bit like the fly-eyes pattern.

They got some very favourable comments when we had the car at Beaulieu

IIRC they came from Mothercare a few years ago but you can get much the same stuff on ebay

Totally unrelated, but really love the colour of your 8 :thumleft: Also not one for a lot of decals, but they really suit the car

I've just gotten around to ordering a set of these (it's only taken a year :)) and will post a review with lots of pictures accordingly. There is a current discount code: Lemgo2016 which brings the total down to £105.30 delivered.

I like the idea of these bit can totally imagine myself swearing a lot and breaking something trying to fit them...

Got quoted £100 for all the back windows to be tinted at a local place which is probably the option I will go for at some point.

Ahh cool, let us know how they fit, still want some, but not nothing to dark either, twit by us has front windows with film on and its darker than the factory tint from rear windows, gawd knows how sees out at junctions etc.

Any idea how long the discount is valid for?

I asked if the code could be shared through the club which they were very happy with, so I presume it will be on for a while. That one has for the last two years by the look of it :)

I had forgotten I'd ordered this and was curious to find out what the 'big effin envelope' was that turned up in logistics this morning:

Job for the weekend then :)

I'm afraid that's the best this Fisher Price Apple device can capture (and I had to rotate them ) so save your judgement until I get them in the car and take some proper day/night pics. They look pretty dark but could be different when looking out from an enclosed space.

Thanks Phil, yea i get that ummm what did I order ummm lol, they are meant to just flex and stay in place or do they need something to hold them in?

I think only thing stopping me buying some unless you don't rate them, is the fact I get condensation a lot especially on rear screen.
