Thought I should start uploading some of my stuff...

First one is a cable spacer to get things nicely between the body and gaiters for aftermarket gauges etc.

If anyone needs someone to make them any parts, I use this guy Adrian. Really quick and cheap. He can print at 0.5mm layer thickness so you don't get that horrible layered finish. He makes loads of stuff for me for work and personal.

I can rattle some out today in grey PLA or black TPU? I've got some black PETg kicking around but it's a bit old and taken on a bit too much moisture to print well. What's it holding and what conditions will it be in?

I'll knock out some TPU ones... they can be one piece then too as they will be bendy, so no need for the bolt in between and just clip in the hoses, means the spacing can be closer too. What spacing would you want?

make the spacing as small as possible. 10mm should leave enough space?

Another bit which goes with the cable spacer above, fits an Innovate wideband on the right and a standard 52mm gauge on the left.

If anyone wants to get into Solidworks.... they now offer a 'maker' version on a £10 a month subscription. If the CAM bit is decent it'll be goodbye Fusion for me :)

Here's another one, probably not too many of us need this, but it works a treat!

Timing strut that slots onto the end of the front number plate. To MSUK reg size, if you have my ride height...

Bit of a labour of love this one for MSUK compliant racing numbers, being a tightarse and not finding any decent fonts that are compliant and easy to cut out....

Adding this one to the list. Needs refinement as it's just a 3d scan, but could prove very useful for repair/replacement - or also customisation with colours etc.

Re: 3D printing Components

Just wanted to put myself out here as someone who is willing to make custom designs and prints for the members. A lot of the time my printer is sitting idle, so as long as I am somewhat compensated for my design time and materials (generally dirt cheap), I will be happy to make stuff.

Additionally if anyone would like advice on printers, materials or design, I will happily answer to the best of my ability.

An example of a recent project I did, somewhat related to the RX-8 is my key organiser. I bought a simple clip on-off key connector set from amazon:
Linkstyle Detachable Pull Apart Key Rings https://amzn.eu/d/6lk9OC1
I then designed a hanger for my main set of house keys and all the different vehicle sets that can attach to it.Image

can anyone make me some rocker switch label inserts?
a little round translucent plastic disk that is blacked out in such a way as to make a logo such as...

Re: 3D printing Components

What diameter and thickness? Due to my printer limitations I can only change colours across the height, so I could print the base entirely translucent and then print the blacked out bit on top, which should give you the correct effect. Could also try a coloured transparent filament, if you want them to light up red for example.
If that doesn't make sense I can post some photos to explain:)
