I honestly don't think I can make it. I wont be doing PH either as I am working all weekend and my timings mean I would have to drop out from this halfway along and therefore only doing a small section of it.

I suppose, in hindsight I could have arranged it for yesterday as we used a good chunk of the route getting there!

Great drive out Sean. Well organised. Back safely after a good breakfast and clear run this morning. Blew some cobwebs out. I'll leave the pro camera men to upload the pictures. I only had 1 anyway.

A lovely route today, good to see everyone again after a while. Gilks didn't disappoint either. Well done to everyone involved in organising it.

Incident free - apart from Drew's attempts to get us all arrested as a national security threat by actually trying to meet inside Chequers; given armed police attendence do we assume our esteemed Prime Minister is in residence?

Oh - I wonder why there was a sudden loss of all cell phone connectivity whilst we pondered in the driveway wondering where Drew was!

Despite leading the pack - I still managed an enjoyable drive and we managed to keep the group together (probably a first!).

I'm cream-crackered; the car(s) need a good wash, photos uploading (oh, and shed build finishing and grass cutting)... But I assume my next move will be waking up on the sofa at 3AM.

If we do another - same route or different route(s) and venue?

Think I mentioned maybe do a breakfast run out visiting the Diddly Squat farm (Clarkson’s residence), will get as much info as possible ref parking facilities etc. Rach and I are going to do the run on as many b roads as we can and then post something up, how does that sound?

They were very understanding about the whole thing once credentials were verifed, a very nice police officer, however I think next time let's not use there as a RV point perhaps........

Diddly Squat looks like it could be an alternative for brekky - if well planned and perceived traffic chaos and any queueing is taken into consideration...
Google presently shows a route from MK / Buckingham via A421; so seeking out some nice B roads to minder there would be good! (some of the roads used today could be incorporated?).
FYI I've also been 'caught' in Chipping Norton itself a few times - so best to avoid approach through there too (I purposely avoided it going to Dan's BBQ yesterday!)

Alas, they also don’t do breakfast!! I have sent a message though to find out more info on parking and have specifically asked on parking between 8-10 RX’s together….

Neil's brand new compact camera. He wasn't using his big SLR very much as it's so heavy, so he got a small one. The photos have come out well.

Awesome drive indeed, thanks a lot Sean for setting it up! Gilks is always a good place for breakfast and I don’t think I would chance the Diddly Squat farm unless they really improved their access and parking situation….

If anyone wants to extend after breakfast next time the roads back to home from Gilks is pretty fun as well and I know it well since it’s my commute
