Information for new traders/advertisers

After much consideration and discussion amongst the Committee and involving the Moderators on the best way forward, we are now able to announce revised selling/trading rules and vendor options. Note that ANY Club member may sell/trade, within reason, with options for a business to differentiate themselves via the budget "Trader" or prestige "Sponsor Trader" upgrades.

Member Seller - included with Club Membership Subscription
Any Club member can sell what they like, within reason, without restriction, in the buying and selling area of the forum. This is a benefit to Club members who want to sell stuff, and to forum users who want to buy stuff. Moderators will monitor to ensure this privilege is not abused. A Club member may use a trading name as a username, with no restriction on using a forum avatar or signature relating to their business.

Trader - £25 one-off fee to register
NOTE: applicants must be a Club Member to apply to upgrade their Club Membership to Trader Status. Club Membership must remain “paid-up” to continue with Traders status. On application, you must show evidence of the business you operate is operating as a sole trader, partnership, limited company, or other recognised business type. All fees are non-refundable.
Trader status with RX-8 Owners Club includes the following benefits:

• You will have a static entry in the Traders area of the RX-8OC Forum. This will include a short section of text about your company/business (written by you) and may include contact details plus a single url (website) link. This text may, on application to the RX-8OC Shopkeeper, be changed a maximum of twice within any 12 month period.
• With your Traders account on the forum you will have the ability to post new threads within the “Buying and Selling” section of the forum to advertise your goods, services, special offers, competitions, etc. You will be able to reply to queries from any registered forum users including the provision of specialist technical advice.
• Your forum username must be your trading name (we can change your current username as part of the application process).
• Your forum avatar can be related to your business.
• Your forum rank icon (shown under your avatar on every post) will display “Trader”.
• You can display advertising (text only) and links to external websites within your forum signature.

Sponsor Trader - £150 for 12 months
On application, you must show evidence of the business you operate is operating as a sole trader, partnership, limited company, or other recognised business type. All fees are non-refundable.
Sponsor Trader status with RX-8 Owners Club includes the following benefits:

• You will have your own sub-forum within the Traders section of the RX-8OC Forum; this will include a short section of text about your company/business (written by you) and may include contact details plus a single url (website) link. This text may, on application to the RX-8OC Shopkeeper, be changed a maximum of twice within any 12 month period
• With your Traders account on the forum you will have the ability to post new threads within your sub-forum and the “Buying and Selling” section of the forum, advertising your goods, services, special offers, competitions, etc. You will be able to reply to queries from any registered forum users including the provision of specialist technical advice.
• Your forum username can be your actual company name or website name.
• Your forum avatar can be related to your business.
• Your forum rank icon (shown under your avatar on every post) will display “Sponsor Trader”.
• You can display company advertising (text only) and links to external websites within your forum signature.
• You will be able to view all threads/posts within the Club Members only sections of the forum.
• The Club will endeavour to link your social media presence to the Club's social media accounts. The Club will, by request, re-post or re-tweet any relevant social media threads on its own social media platforms.
• Your business promoted within each RX-8OC email newsletter, and in each edition of the RX-8OC magazine.
• A slot in the rotating forum banner, including a link to your own URL.
• Optional: FREE Club Membership.

How to apply
To apply for Trader or Sponsor Trader status with the RX-8 Owners Club, please send an email to: shopkeeper@rx8ownersclub.co.uk giving a short description of your company, the nature of your business and which of the Traders status packages you would like.
All applications are dealt with in confidence.
