Just been able to book onto the JDM display stand, so looks like there are a few show tickets left but no spectator tickets.

Just so everyone is aware who may not of seen their emails.

It's a requirement that you bring a drip tray/piece of cardboard due to cars being parked on the track.

Latest email says clubs with x10 can have reserved parking so don't have to drive in convoy to try and be together. I've sent an email requesting if we can have designated club parking, as will is away on Honeymoon

It's also not going to happen. I've had a response. To late to get a plot as expected but they said if we convoy in they'll do best to get all together. Next year to contact them and we can get a plot to set up our usual Gazebo, flags, engine split apart etc.

I'd be up for being part of the convoy if this is still happening? (Is there a WhatsApp group or something).
We are staying in a premier inn at Hinckley tomorrow night, which is 20mins from the Maccies spot, so should be there just before 08:00

I think I lost the negotiations and 2 of the sprogs are coming with me... but they are obsessed with cars. I'd love to stay for some food after but I think it will be quite a long day for them already, so will get on the road when they let us out

As the gates open at 7.45 and its gonna be busy we're thinking get to maccies at 7ish if you're having breakfast and aim to leave just after 7.30

I was thinking the opposite, if we have until 1030 and the show is no movements until 5 and likely carnage to get out, do we want to be there that early? Would a 900 meet a Macclesfield and leave 930 to get in reduce amount of time to be "trapped" within? Just a thought

I will be there as early as possible so I don't have a 1 year old sitting in the car getting upset because it's not moving

I'd be in favour of getting in a bit later as I would assume they will fill in from the back forward so maybe front first to leave?

Not sure how they are going to fill the circuit. But there are dedicated car sections? So there must be a way to travel past already parked cars Id have thought.

I totally agree with this. Whilst it'd be nice to get there and get posted up early and get a good spot, it's a long old day to be sat there without being able to leave. Not to mention how busy it'll be with people having the same idea of getting there first. It's almost put me off going knowing you're stuck there until 5...

Am staying at a hotel and spa nearby on Friday night and would prefer a later maccas meet to convoy in together, given that we'll all be static once we get there til 5pm.

I'm only an hour from mallory and as maccies is 25 minutes away me an Ollie are gonna miss the convoy and get there early

I'm happy to run 2 convoys, we can have the early one with Christine and ollie or the later one with me. Aim to arrive for 9 and as soon as all that are in attendance for the convoy are ready, we will just get on road, whether that's 915, 920 or 930...they are not even allocating Parking per category, so it doesn't matter about jdm etc, we may be parked up with Ford's, VWs either side of is, to make parking quicker we will be parked around track in whatever order we go through the gate. At least a split convoy assists with this theme to keep the displays diverse as people go round.

We're basically gonna do a drive-by. If it's busy first thing we'll head to maccies and wait for everyone. If not we'll stay there

But anyone that wants to come with us early let me know and we'll sort a meeting point

It was supposed to be, but they've decided it's already going to be such carnage to just get everyone in ASAP and parked in whatever order they arrive. Similar to the now locked in until 5 as too many public attending and can't move cars safely

I'd prefer to be in the later convoy with Drew if thats okay? (the early one might be a little to early for us)
I think perhaps their original idea was to have stands / sections but with increasing the event capacity to 10,000 they've had to make some changes.
