Was a great day. My daughter loved it! Her first show.

It was lovely to see everyone yesterday. I had a great day, chilled and chatting to as many people as I could, plus a good wander around looking for rotaries on other stands.

Thanks to Ian and Jackie for transporting all the club gear and food/drink in their capacious Mazda and for bringing along the delightful Felix in his own club T-shirt! Thanks also to everyone else who helped put up and take down the gazebo and assist with bacon roll service!

I spoke at length to two new people, Mark, who owns a Nemesis, and Daniel who has a PZ. They found our stand and were keen to join the club, so I hope they appear on here soon.

If anyone has not been to the Beaulieu Motor Museum for a while, then I can recommend you seek out this event next year. "Simply Japanese" offers cheaper admission, premium parking position and club stand facilities. This is more than a museum too, with a gorgeous, historical house, grounds and gardens. There is also an interesting display, explaining the role the estate played in WW2 in training "Special Operations Executive" agents.

Only one RX-7 1st generation at this show, which shows how rare they are becoming in the UK. Without this very successful Mazda forebear model from 40 years ago, our RX-8's would never have been developed.

Well said Malcolm. I to enjoyed the setting and atmosphere of the show. Certainly felt more "grown up" than other shows almost. Really good day and the weather played ball to, favourite show of the year so far and getting in/out was easy too. Great turn out, and the feedback from the Yaris owners were all positive too, really enjoying themselves and time with the club.
