Mazda UK 7/7 Rotary Day - **REGISTRATION CLOSING 12 JUNE**

Mazda UK have kindly agreed to host a celebration of the 40th anniversary of the launch of the RX-7 at their HQ in Dartford on Saturday, 7th July :D

The event will run from 10am to 3pm and all are welcome. If you are able, bring along your Mazda rotary to celebrate the day with other rotary enthusiasts. Even better if you can roll up in an increasingly rare (in the UK at least) RX-7 FB.

Mazda will be using the event for publicity, so only Mazda cars can be parked at the venue. However, you are welcome to park around the corner and walk to the event if you can't travel in a Mazda vehicle ;)

Full details of the schedule are yet to be finalised, but expect a fun day out, with a few special cars to drool over in the Mazda Heritage Collection. They’ll be food and drink available onsite, a few deckchairs and probably some music and games too.

The “Mazda Fans” weekend last year was well attended and much enjoyed, so expect a similar experience and vibe for this year.

The team at Mazda Rotary Club are liaising with Mazda UK to finalise details, but attendance is free and open to all Mazda rotary enthusiasts, regardless of car ownership or club membership. All that we ask is that you register your interest in attending by providing your full name and email address to team@mazdarotaryclub.com , along with the names of any passengers you intend to bring along. These will be passed on to Mazda to send out full details of the event in due course.

There is limited capacity at the Mazda HQ site, so don’t delay in registering or you might miss out :thumleft:

Emails have been steadily coming in. Still room for more, should be a really chilled out day.

In addition to lots of RX-8's, there should be an RX-3, RX-4 and RX-7's from 1st Gen to FD's. Maybe even a Cosmo :D

There are now 62 rotaries registered for this event and over 100 people, so it'll be quite a special day :icon_thumleft:

We have 12 RX-7 1st Gens (inc 2 rare Elford Turbos), an RX-3, RX-4 as well as FC's, FD's and many RX-8's coming along. Add that to the special rotaries that Mazda will have in their Heritage centre and there's lots for a rotary enthusiast to see, and to chat to the car's owners.

Well done Malcolm in promoting this event. as discussed at JDM I was not planning to attend which is actually fortunate as Kathy has just told me we are going to Barmouth in Wales that weekend to mark our 12th wedding anniversary on 1st July. she nearly booked for the weekend of 30th June / 1st July but I had already booked for Japfest Donington on the 30th so that went down well!

Is there somewhere nearby we can part the tow-car and trailer?

We now have over 70 rotaries registered for this event (inc RX-3, RX-4 all RX-7 variants and many RX-8's), so it's going to be a fantastic gathering :thumleft:

Thanks to everyone for supporting this event. There's still room for a few more, and the more support we show for this, the more Mazda UK are likely to repeat this type of event in the future. Plus, it helps us, as a Club, to maintain/build contact with the guys at Mazda UK, which can only be good =D>
