Possible event

Post by RandyMcShag » Mon Apr 09, 2018 7:56 pm

This just popped up on my fb timeline. Have messaged about getting a group area if we can get enough people.

Any interest?

Well done for posting this up for us :thumleft:
I could well be interested in attending this event as it’s not far from me also.
I can’t 100% commit at this point due to the time of year it’s happening.
Regards

I’m in conversations with the organiser. They run track days and touge events. I have been following their page for a while.
Looks like we may be limited to numbers as they prefer a variety of cars, but I will post more details once I get them from him.

So it looks like they will allow a 10car owners club area. Obviously, if we get more definite people confirmed, we can take that back to them and see if we can increase.

So it’s a purely static event. Trade stands, food and entertainment for kiddies. All bookings made through their website. So really, if loads of us just booked then convoyed in, we would have a bigger owners club area!!

Cheers gsb.
Not much to really do now.
Having spoke to them, it’s their first ‘show’ that they are putting on. Normally just do track sessions and touqes.
They are only expecting around 200 cars. I have said there is quite a lot of our members who like to track their cars, so having a group of us could be beneficial to both parties.
They have got some ‘traders’ being announced at the moment. Jap specialists and track prep guys.
So it could be a good opportunity for any of our ‘track’ guys to build some ties and contacts.

Let’s see how many people are gunna book, then we can do like I said earlier and convoy in and create our own stand.

According to the Facebook page/group only performance and retro cars will be allowed to display as show cars. Any other car will be in the public parking area and only need to pay £5.
Thus effectively rules out all of our cars that are not "performance" cars. On this basis if I go I will be parking with Joe Public.

The way I see it, you pay to display it then that's it! The organiser didn't say no when I approached him about a owners club area.
