I've done this and it requires no protective equipment beyond a seatbelt - it did require the free racing licence though

The big thing here is :
( not timed ) and ( private road )
It’s not really classed as a motor sport event and is the same as driving on someone’s private road as fast as you like 😉
I’m interested in this but don’t know if I’ll be free at this point
I wanted to put one of these on for the club at one point but was blocked by a couple of committee members unfortunately
Would make a great event

Events Coordinator. 2014 to 2017

Would love to see you there Pete. I am pretty sure Dan Shipman-Toon is going to book and possibly NickP47.

Blimey I thought there would be more interest in this as it’s a pretty safe, hopefully not famous last words, chance to find out just how well your RX8 handles.

Not sure that’s correct Will if you look at the Snetterton event. As has been mentioned in other show/events discussions all clubs and groups are seeing lower numbers attending than in previous years. Even the Yakushi Show / AM despite subsidised tickets has struggled in attracting more members than attended the 2022 AM.

Chris, you're not a fan of the Yakushi format, we all know that, however this statement which you've posted all over the place is wrong... Based on ticket sales it's likely to be the best attended show since 2016.

For a bit of inspiration, me at Pardon hairpin earlier in the year.

Be patient with a super late turn in through ettories, keep tight at pardon in the nice bit of camber, don’t be distracted by the end of the world cliff edge at semicircle (and check where to aim for if you do end up going over there…), walk the track and return road before the track opens if you can…

That cliff edge is terrifying! lol. First time I did it I went so slow it was crazy.
