It has been questioned.
Since last year they demand full face helmet convertible or not.
I taught that most of people have full face anyway or if they dont they can hire?

I think most time suits me other than Aug 14th for 2 weeks as Im on a course for work I cant get out of. Other than im pretty good. Perhaps look to not clash it with combe or some other event if people are already travelling for those weekends/expense etc?

No most require just open face if you have a hard top car. I don't have a full face helmet.

Guys,i dont know if i am to impatient (i usually am) but i can see that it proves a mission to gather 15 cars for this event on the forum so i was thinking if it is ok with everybody to reach out on facebook on RX8 Familia to see if we can make up for missing slots up to 15 confirmed?

i wouldn't do that yet. the main attraction would be its OC only.

I kind of agree with you but kind of don't.
Loads of users on the forum yet in 5 days we are nearly 5 people confirmed...That's not good going,is it?

I am used with things happening there and then and i am the man getting things done tough the pace of the forum might be different.

forum pace is typically slower. i wouldn't fret too much just yet.

That seems reasonable to me if the numbers aren’t coming from here as it should enable you to achieve the necessary numbe4 of cars in time to make a booking.

I know this track option isn't available to me as it was a big flat NO from them last year about taking EV's around their track

Fortunately other circuits around the country can see the future

Hopefully opening this up to friends from other clubs you are associated with Silviu, will bring the numbers you need to make this trackday work at the right price

Tbf,might be due to their insurance policy.
Battery fires are no joke and many insurers are wary of this sh*t.
Most of race tracks over the pond do not allow EV's and i know of some ferry companies that do not let them on.
Believe it or not our insurer does not cover for fire any EV stored overninght inside our premises and moreof any claim for fire will be void if discovered that the fire has started from an electric vehicle stored overnight inside.
Rest assured all the ev's that we house overnight are due to sleep in the parking lot
And as a blunt comment,tough i drive an ev,have owned about 4 of them,i have nothing against them but strongly hope they are not the future and the Earth will still have a lot of petrol to offer at least until the end of my life

Very strange regarding open vs full face helmets.

I can recall not that long ago when full face helmets were banned in tin-top cars, because the limited view stopped drivers seeing warning lights on the dash, while watching the road, which resulted in an increase in engine failures, with oil and coolant spills.

The exception allowed were for MSA certified car helmets, rather than ACU certified motorcycle helmets.

The former having a much deeper opening, but the entry level cost being three times as much.

It just shows that insurance companies have no real understanding of the activities that they cover.

The only time I heard of a driver having a head injury during a road car track day was a Clio fitted with a half-cage, and that's what he hit his head against!

I agree with you Dave and i have questioned it but had a blunt answer "unfortunately our hands are tight,we have changed insurer and this is a requirement"
Tough a bit frustrating i do not really mind,it is what it is
