Just booked this but may be in the M3 given the circuit and that on the two preceding weekends the R3 is currently doing the Two Ball Lakes Rally then the Prescott Hill Climb. Something every weekend in September plus probably attending the Surrey meet too!!!

As there are so many RX8s attending I guess I had better follow the crowd and come in the R3. Saves me insuring the M3, changing the oil, due in 4000 miles and swapping in the Ferodo pads!

Totally different to a monthly event Rob, like the annual Brands Hatch Christmas track days, JDM Castle Combe and Thruxton events, a track day at Snetterton seems to now be a regular popular event on the club calendar attracting regular attendees and always some new faces.

This trackday has only happened, because I spoke to Chris Hoey and asked for a cheeky discount if I could muster up 10 or more people/cars to attend from the various car clubs that am connected too

Details on the location for dinner afterwards will be posted in due course, which is combined with the Essex Meet as we are all at the trackday instead, so sounded sensible to combine the two for September

Wow, well done Nigel on getting together one of the largest trackday groups for quite a while

We'll organise some light refreshments in one of the garages to be available throughout the day, but please bring a mug, in case we don't have enough in the club kit! We'll have tea, coffee, hot chocolate, water, some soft drinks and light snacks. Feel free to bring some light snacks to share if you wish.

Which is a family run pub situated at Larling, less than 4 miles away, just off the next southbound junction on the A11 after we leave Snetterton. We have eaten at this place a few times in the past and they have always looked after us very well.

Given the size of our group, they would like pre-orders for food. I will send out a PM (or email if not on the forum) to everyone dining about a week beforehand to get your orders. So, no rush, but you might wish to peruse the menu here in advance:

I'm very much looking forward to seeing you all and having a great day on track together! For those of you new to Snetterton, you are going to love it. A long track (2m20s to 2m35s in an RX-8 in the dry), with a huge variety of corners, from the very tight Montreal hairpin to the very fast Coram bend (85mph+ in an RX-8 if you are "on it"!). On the Bentley straight, expect to be braking from 115mph+

My car isn’t ready as we speak, so I’ve took a gamble on a non runner arriving Friday tho I’m not back from holiday till Monday. So could still be a hard push plus I’m hanging on to see what’s what before I book lol.
