You get to see some good flames here, I was behind Scott on this lap trying to get good footage.

Nothing wrong with those times or the racing driver explanationsreefshark wrote: ↑Mon Oct 02, 2023 2:36 pmJust been looking through my videos and the best I was getting were around the 2.34's start of the racing drivers excuses, it was hard getting a clear lap where you weren't moving over for someone or being held up slightly.
I'm 15 stone and had my dad with me who is around 13 stone and the tyres are half worn Dunlop sport maxx rt's so road tyres, but all said and done don't think the car or driver did bad its basically a bone stock R3 with tein springs and a ebay sport cat.
The last track day I did there was 2016 in my 350z.
Impressive times by Scotts RX8 im assuming that's the one that overtook me a couple of times then was flaming out the exhaust into the corners was cool to see.
Both me and dad definitely had a lot of fun on the day and I was surprised at how good the car was round the circuit, looking forward to doing another one next year.Conan wrote: ↑Mon Oct 02, 2023 6:37 pmNothing wrong with those times or the racing driver explanationsreefshark wrote: ↑Mon Oct 02, 2023 2:36 pmJust been looking through my videos and the best I was getting were around the 2.34's start of the racing drivers excuses, it was hard getting a clear lap where you weren't moving over for someone or being held up slightly.

A set of semi slicks will normally give you around 2 seconds but with Snetterton being such a long track with the amount of corners it could give you up to 4 seconds.
Junking the dad could give you a sec or so
More practice at the circuit will give you time that I can’t calculate
So that’s very respectable and certainly not the slowest R-3 well done
It’s the grin factor that matters

That’s a brilliant timeMadTaz wrote:Wanted to say thank you to the club members for a great day, I tried to get around and say hello to everyone I think I just about managed it, the day just seemed to fly by and I was probably a little jet lagged from only returning home late the night before.
Nick, sorry to see the poor Mx5, hopefully there are some salvageable parts to move onto your next project, never a good day if that happens!
I'm planning on doing a video of the day, the focal point being choice modifications and set ups for track/fast road use which is what we have been working on with Scotts car, it would be really helpful if you could through your go pro footage look up track times and post below. I'll also be linking to forum and circuit days in on the video. Footage also gratefully received.

That diagonal coilover notwithstanding!Nickp47 wrote:As suspected the car is dead
The expensive bits are largely intact so it validates my decision to use an NC as a replacement car is easy and not too expensive to find
Just inspect them closely. I had hopes that the Teins on my RX-7 would live on, but both the n/s ones ended up slightly bent in the crash.
