Too much brevity from everybody. Do you not realise the seriousness of keeping communication about this to a minimum. I wouldn’t be surprised if we have to change the booking to another location now!

We've all seen the photos now, so they can be taken down. Mystery can be restored to the outside world

My issue is not with the photos being posted but with, in my view, the disregard of the security issue given recent events in Italy.

Guys,

There are definitely 8 beds just did not put up all the pictures they sent me.
I will be sleeping on the floor as the mattress will be too soft and give me a bad back; bringing a sleeping-bag me.

It will be fun and cozy, Covid permitting :!: :!:

Maybe you should let Ranjan voice his opinion on this? I'm not going to tread on eggs shells when clearly enough information was given already (not by any of us!!!) To find the place on Google with 5 mins.

To be honest i can't be arsed with any of this bickering, its a track day! #highhorse

Have booked the track plus a garage. We may catch up with you for dinner if you are going out as I see a lot of you are staying the night (or two). It will also be a good opportunity to see Anglesey and get some sea air so Linda and I have turned this into a mini break.

Robert, if you are interested the house I have booked is available until the 18th Dec and will be empty from 14th; so feel free to make use of it if you want.

Hi Guys what do you think of this email from Javelin today. The way I see it you will get a 20 min slot, then have to wait 40 mins to go back out again

HI

We’re sending you this email as you are booked onto one of our remaining Anglesey events for this year. As you may have seen from earlier events it has so far been impossible to run events at Anglesey in anything other than a sessioned format due to Covid restrictions meaning everyone attending has to be kept in multiple bubbles of up to 30 people in the paddock with no interaction between bubbles which is some extra admin but fairly easy to manage otherwise however this unfortunately that also stops groups mixing on track in an open pit lane format. You might be asking why that would matter when you’re all enclosed in individual vehicles out on track and you certainly wouldn’t be alone in that but alas these are the restrictions that the circuit must abide by in order to operate at this time.

So with that in mind the events on 26th October, 11th November, 13th December will be changing to Sessions with 3 groups per hour (Approx 25 per group), if circumstances change then these will revert back to OPL again but that is not guaranteed to be the case. So far the feedback from those who have attended the sessioned events has been very positive with many people actually enjoying them more but we understand that not everyone likes them.

So if in light of this format change you now wish to cancel your booking for any of the listed events then you can do so for a full refund or credit using the link below (and please note we will only accept requests made using the form linked below) no later than Sunday 27th September. If we have not had a form submission telling us otherwise before the deadline then we will assume that you are still happy to attend and the normal terms and conditions will apply from that point.

Complete the Cancellation Request Form

If you remain on the events in question then you will receive an email a week or so before the event where you will need to complete an attendance form so that we may confirm exactly who is attending with you and can allocate the groups.

Kind Regards

Taking a step back this then it may not be that far removed from what some people do on a track day anyway. 20 minutes or so driving, into the paddock have natter, grab a coffee etc; check oil level and 40 minutes can quickly pass so maybe this is not such bad news.
My initial thought was to cancel, now I am probably 60/40 to cancel!

That's an odd interpretation of the restrictions. I get that's down to the circuit being overly zealous and not Javelin though.

I'm gonna be nervous every time I sit in a traffic jam from now on... it's clearly a deadly scenario. Do Highways England know we were crawling bumper to bumper on the A12 today? Some people even had their windows down

Am 80% cancel as rarely out on the track for up to 20mins :!:

Not overly keen on sessions, hence why don't do them at Car Show Events anymore :(

It's worth remembering if there is a Red Flag in your session, it's unlikely you would get that track time back for the rest of the day :!:

If we all want to be in the same group, it's a big headache making sure our list of names are in the same group :(

I am aware the GT86 Drivers Club had a hell of a job doing this a few weeks ago :!:

Unlike some of you on the list, have driven Anglesey before so wouldn't matter to me to sit this one out until the rules change again in the near future :thumleft:

I agree with all of the points made above and feel quite conflicted. I still want to experience Anglesey for the first time, but the session format is less than ideal and I feel like it's an inferior product vs the open pitlane format.

I'll go with the flow on this. If enough people want to proceed then I'll join them, but given that this was supposed to be a fun social weekend, if others start to drop out then the whole thing becomes less appealing

I am with Nigel here; plus it looks like they will not allow James and myself to share the car.
I will try to ring Colin today and check on 2nd driver regulations and take it from there.
Most likely I will cancel if it is sessions.

I can see how you could not resist the Bentley, what a stunner in that colour. Did it come with a drivers booster seat?

It's a Bentley, the seat moves in about a million different ways; so comfy, really good visibility.

Ok, Javelin cannot confirm that James will be able to share the car with me so I have cancelled this track day; real shame but I hate sessioned track days.

I had better get the house cancelled as well.
