Silverstone GP Circuit December 8th - Cancelled

Post by countzero » Sat Sep 29, 2012 11:13 am

Dorset Sports Cars the main sponsors for the Wessex Car Club have arranged for a track day at Silverstone on the above date.

This is however a bit different from your average invite.

DSC will be bringing their race truck and 3 Porsche race cars and you will also have access to pit garages.

DSC will be on hand to give advice on set up and will be able to give limited mechanical assistance, they will also be giving tuition and passenger rides in their race cars.

The cost for the day is £269 and the noise limit is 105db.

DSC are also offering a free pre-track health check at their Wimbourne premises and have offered to help transport any spare wheels in their truck.

To help us organise this you will need to register on the WCC forum http://www.wessexcarclub.com/Forum/index.php registration is free.

The day is organised by Gold Track, and fully marshalled by Silverstone staff.
We will need final numbers by the 15th of October, and to pay by 20th October.
We will individually pay DSC, they can invoice for those who have VAT options, if you want this just let me know how you want it to be presented.

A flyer is attached.

Hope some of you can make it and thanks to the RX8 OC committee for letting me post on here

PS we may also have another race team involved that will be Mazda related 8)

Think we need another 2 or 3 to make this viable.

See you on Saturday Ben

Bump!!!

Can't believe there is interest in this silver stone gp circuit?

Expensive but this is a great track, one of the best in the country.

Problem for quite a few of the regulars was we'd already committed to Brands Hatch the day before, but that's only 10 of us, what about others!

Early bookers got a Brands Hatch place for just £99 though :D

Still spaces for this.

If you didn't book brands this would be great.

Hi
I'm too late for this but I would like to be there and see a bunch of you guys hammering the rx-8 around the track. Is it possible to spectate on the day ?

Cheers
Barks

Try dropping Alan(countzero) a pm(and email) as I know they didn't have loads of people signed up for this so there might still be some spaces. I don't think they'll be any issues with spectating and if you take a helmet you might well be able to get a couple of passenger rides but again your best bet is to ask Alan.

I didn,t want to post before but in light of the above post.
Silverstone GP circuit is very wide and long with vast run offs
Its nice to say you have driven it in your lifetime but for exitment on track you would probably have more fun at Brands Indy circuit.
It could suit for first track day or if you had double the horse power.
This is just my opinion
