Perhaps a little prematurely i asked for this thread to be removed. I was about to post about what a satisfactory conclusion had been arrived at.
From the first few posts by established members, it was very clear that anyone is welcome and always have been to any of the monthly meets no matter what you drive, which i already hoped was the case.
Then a couple of replies from newer members gave us the opportunity to confirm to everyone that all are welcome.
What would be useful would be to have the first post reinstated so that this makes sense to those who did not see it first time round.

Thanks for going to the trouble of creating an announcement Drew. I would like the post reinstated though as it has clearly reached a satisfactory conclusion, ie everyone welcome regardless of what you drive. What is also clear is that i was not inferring anything, as it has prompted you to make an announcement, based largely on the topic being discussed, thanks, rob.

Thanks James, in that case could you please remove the offending posts and reinstate the sensible conversations that lots of people found useful judging by the amount of thanks.

An explanation would be useful please, What is the issue with reinstating it, it was removed at my request and not moderated.

the moderation team do not need to give explanations or reasons for decisions. but for the record, your request was only part of the reason it was removed, and if this thread also continues to degrade it will be removed also. any further discussion on this needs to be taken to pm, open forum is not the appropriate place.
