At risk of me repeating myself , there is a pinned post on the RX-8 FB Group with all the events taking place this year, which is maintained by myself as one of the Administrators within the FB Group

I'm not convinced anyone actually sees those though. We really need repeating events with reminders.

Yes, I just said on another thread just that. I'll sort it out so that we'll have a repeating UK Meetups event that points to Nigels Announcement thread for each particular link. That way it'll show as Upcoming Events and redirect

Are you including sorting the FB icon link on the forum in your actions or is that a CIC responsibility.

Bizarrely I can only see Nigel's FB Announcements on my phone's FB and not my laptop. So I've just done a link tot he social meets page of the Forum.
I'm wondering if it's only visible to members now

The FB link takes you to the OC FB page, not the current group. They are both part of the official OC FB presence.

It doesn't need changing as, you wouldn't go from the forum to the FB page to find events. You'd look on the forum... :-/

Thanks Dan but the page the link takes people to is a bit of a waste of space as it’s way out of date and there is no comparison information or content wise with the RX8 Facebook group the RX8OC is affiliated with. As you well know updating and maintaining a Facebook Group or page especially can be very time consuming so why not use the readily available and comprehensive events sticky that Nigel has created in the affiliated FB group. All it should take I think is a request to Ian M and once done there will be a two way road, if my earlier suggestion of circular links is favourable, between the active FB group and the forum which has to be a good thing.

Just to add that anyone is welcome to create an event on the Facebook Group. We were asked previously if we could add all the events individually but they need to be monitored for responses etc

I will add the next MK one now as I'm bringing Birthday cake.
