Consistency seems to pay dividends Chris. Everyone knows the date and venue at least 6 months in advance. We have not missed a meet since it's inception, even during covid, we simply took it out doors.

I am really looking forward to our meet tomorrow which is now also advertised on the rx8 facebook group. There is a direct link to the rx8oc forum from there. I have added a link on page one of this topic to the rx8 Facebook group.
We have found this interaction to be very useful to our meet, reaching a much larger audience, would it not be beneficial to the membership as a whole, especially monthly meets if there was a direct link from here to the rx8oc group instead of the page?. I look forward to reading the views of others, thanks rob.

Another well attended meet, in fact more than we expected. We knew about 6 of us going via the club forum, however, 3 others showed up un announced from the facebook group, with a bit of shuffling we managed to squeeze them in and the banter began, 2 of them even turned up in RX8'S that non of us regulars had seen before.
What we have learned is that displaying this on other club platforms worked as non of the newbies use the forum, this could also benefit other meets and gatherings.
On another note, the new to us venue was a lovely place with loads of parking, unfortunately the food was not up to the standard that we find in our other venues, so we will be looking for an alternative in the same vicinity for our rolling list of venues.

We have chosen our new venue based on first hand experience and the views of some of our resident food critics. The new and hopefully forever venue will appear on page one shortly, together with a link to the facebook group events section which clearly shows all the latest nationwide activities.
