One complaint tho, my car seems to have caught squeaky brake syndrome :? I was parked next to Jon's before the off this morning so I'm guessing it's contagious.

And there was me thinkink that everyone in front had faulty brake lights.. ;)
Very much fun.. (and a few roads that were already part of the Devils Punchbowl meet too!)

Breakfast was good....
Many bugs blatted... particularly on the way back, when the darn things had woken up.
Must do more early morning runs, there are definately fewer flying car-cleaning reasons then than in the evenings

NOT the Devil's Punchbowl meet

Post by Tomsk » Mon Aug 01, 2005 11:12 am

Really enjoyable meet.
AW8 - hope you enjoyed your first rally in an 8.
BigWithey - wicked route, top man. Duncton Hill can be a shock if you're not ready for it. Got just the one beep (along Billingshurst bypass). I'd never been to South Harting before - very pretty.
Ann - you missed a great breakfast, and I'd even brought along a Wonka Bar for you. Never mind, there's always the next time.
S/Silver, 192ps, b. Jan 2004 - 22,000 miles, 1 mod only (= oil cooler protection grilles), 2 ProDrives, 12 meets. Still feels like a new car !

Yes- thanks once again for the PM invite tomsk and to Jon for organising........Hope Dave has cleaned off my deposited grime off his front end resultant from my occasionally spirited damp bend exits where even his S03's had to work it a little - slow coach that I am.

:) The area/route was spot on, (not posted - as may be used again I feel ). Best at such times of the day despite the dreaded camper van which was too far up front for druck and myself to pass without engaging other 8's first.

As said on the day - for me breakfast clubs preferable to pub lunch and afternoon convoys with sunday drivers.

After the meet I later had to unexpectedly drive up to chelsea and back so the 8 racked up a faultless mile or 2 yesterday that's for sure.
