Scotmeet (UPDATE: Sat 20th Jan @ Peebles, details page 2)

Post by john sugar » Tue Oct 31, 2006 11:53 pm

Been looking back on some posts & i see the scot meets have all but fell away.
Coming from the subaru stable (well a top marques in between ;) ) i feel a duty to uphold & to maybe take these Scotmeets onto another level.
I will be picking up my PZ sometime later this week & maybe once Santa has been us Scots can maybe reconvene.

I'll be there provided I'm on leave.
And G.Mac from SIDC is a mate of mine (ex 8 owner) so sure he'd drag some scooby's along.

I was actually considering a multi marque meet in Scotland sometime soon, as a few old owners would be interested in showing up (350Z, Impreza's now),
Will have a think about it.

You're not thinking of selling your care are you.
Titanium Grey, bling wheels (set number 6) Now gone but will never be forgotten, sat nav, I-mob tracking, SS Strakes, full set of RB grills, K&N Filter and Borla zorst. Now lowered.

Just ask me where anything is, it will be in the boot!!

Now she's "the reasonably priced car is the star" as driven by Jason Plato on Fifth Gear. :notworthy:

Well, I'd certainly be up for a ScotMeet, dependent upon dates (calender dates that is, not whether I'd got one or not!!). Just up the road from Newcastle !!

Had an excellent drive down Selkirk way earlier today. Good roads and interesting places. Peebles looks good for a midday pub lunch and how cool would a rake of 8s parked on the main street look. I will do a reccy early in the new year for a suitable drive etc with a view to a meet either 20th or 27th of January, anyone interested get the list thingy started :xmascool: :xmaswave:

Added the planned date and location to the title - looks like G Man has picked up on the organizing. If you need another title change for the thread then please send me (or another mod) a PM.

Ian.

PS: G Man - best to kick off the list with yourself as the first one on it, and to firm up the details *very* clearly (big fonts usually work well :D)

PPS: put the meet up on the calendar as well.
(Former Chairman, Membership Secretary, and long time Admin)
R3 Aurora Blue Mica - Racing Brake calipers, rotors and steel brake lines - Racing Beat exhaust - TARGA2 sensors - Lockwood grilles - blue LEDs - side and fog light upgrades - window tints - Eibach spacers
And still three gears left...

Just waiting for full details of the Cheshire meet on the 14th. Seriously considering that one as well - if necessary could stay with my elder son at his flat in Manchester.

Hey. If you've got it, flaunt it !!!

Not been to Scotland for a long time and would love to do it in the 8. May need to find a B&B though.
