I've got my N.Z. Visa , so the car will have to go
So will I :( :D :( :D
Will be sad to see the car go (do I hear part of a snail joke there ?) , and I will miss you lot too :)
Just want to try and get (at least) one more meet in before the car goes.....
Will have to start advertising I suppose...............

Sorry to lose another RX8'er but congrats on the news!

As for the meet - just name the place and the time and I'll be there!

Am I sounding a bit too easy or should I play harder to get :-k

Good and bad news.

Good, because you have made a move I would love to have made before I got to old for them to consider letting me take up residence.

Bad because we are losing a committed and valued member and one who's name I could actually remember. =;

Good luck Fred hope we meet up again before you leave. :D

Regards

Ray

Any one up for a Hants / W.Sussex / S.Coast meet ?

Post by Tomsk » Tue Mar 14, 2006 11:40 am

Sorry to hear you're going Rob, but pleased for you if it's what you want. You can then (with RobD) form a NZ R/X ex-owners club for members called Rob !

For your final meet here, how about a drive through the New Forest ? We could meet at one of the two pubs (Bell or the Green Dragon) at Brook - just off where the M27 ends at Cadnam, then make for Fordingbridge and eventually to Shaftesbury. Incredible hairpin bends just before entering the town. We'd need guidance on where to park as they've just built a Tesco's where there was a free car park, but if we can sort that out there are good views from the grounds of the ruined abbey (take a picnic ?) and we can get some good shots of Gold Hill (where they shot the Hovis advert) for this website.

Over to Big Withey - some food for thought for you, or better suggestion ?

Let's hope for a nice sunny day and make it a last good 'un for Rob. 8)

Congrats on the Visa / move.

Def up for a meet since we missed the Bodiam one.

Sorry to see you go, still remember the first Portsmouth meet and our little mix up with the clock changes.... Could always make the last the same place as the first ?

Only dates out the question for now are the weekend before Easter (first weekend in April) when we are off up to Glasgow.

Although not called Rob, don't forget our original treasurer Chris (Lawton?), who also moved to NZ.

Can't remember if I've met you Rob (maybe at the first annual meeting?), but I certainly know of you. Didn't you reverse into Specman on the Prodrive day? Anyway, best wishes with your new life, when you eventually go.
Cheers,
Simon

We could do the Seven Stars on the A272 , just West of Petersfield , at Stroud.
We've been there before , and no one could fail to find it (unlike the White Horse aka the PWNN.)
