Re: PZ Suspension Sets and PZ Rear Springs - Club Stock
Some folks may know of spares, though the price may not be quite such a bargain...

Re: PZ Suspension Sets and PZ Rear Springs - Club Stock
Are these still available? Two broken rear springs on a 40th Anniversary edition (No 333 of 400) and a slight wallowy front end - these were standard on the 40th Anniversary edition.

Re: PZ Suspension Sets and PZ Rear Springs - Club Stock
They are out of stock both full sets and rear springs. The 40ths suspension isn't actually the same as the PZ's. Its just similar as Mazda tried to match it as closely as they could. You could try a few breakers for some springs or probably find a decent aftermarket replacement with similar spring rates etc without too much hassle if you wanted new.

Re: PZ Suspension Sets and PZ Rear Springs - Club Stock
Mazda used three different springs when building the 40th Anniversary's.
Not sure if they were experimenting with getting it right or just emptying the parts bins for the end-of-line model.
Anyway, send me your VIN and I can confirm which springs were originally fitted, and how much they'd be to order from your local friendly dealer.

Thanks for the info guys, I never researched the 40th/PZ link...
VIN is JMZSE173680150236. From what you write do I understand that you can enquire as to the original build spec?

Effectively yes.
On behalf of the OC, I have direct access to Mazda databases for vehicles and parts.
The parts database will either show all the parts for a model, or the specific parts, as used in production or the later replacement, for an individual vehicle.
Here's your vehicle status, not much to see though it would show if there were any outstanding recalls, plus the quote for a full set of replacement springs.

Renewal reminder emails can end up in the junk folder, due to the simple rules applied by some email clients.

Re: PZ Suspension Sets and PZ Rear Springs - Club Stock
I presume there's no chance the OC will ever commision another batch??

Re: PZ Suspension Sets and PZ Rear Springs - Club Stock
The previous order wasn't commissioned by the OC as such, it was a group buy organised by a member, and the OC also joined-up to purchase a small number of units for Club Shop stock.
See viewtopic.php?f=223&t=76220
The OC doesn't have the capital or the mandate to commission an order of the scale that the manufacturers require for production.
Any member could propose another group buy and see if they could establish sufficient demand to repeat the process.
I'm sure Pete (Conan) would be happy to provide you with the details of his contacts.

Re: PZ Suspension Sets and PZ Rear Springs - Club Stock
Hi, I have just got an RX8 PZ which has been laid up for 11 years by the previous owner in his back garden. It is in surprisingly good condition for its year, a56 reg, and only 44k miles on the clock. After some work over the last couple of weeks I took it for an MOT today and it failed with a cracked rear spring. I am hoping I can purchase a pair form the club stock as I have not been able to find any elsewhere.
Can you help me with this or do you know of another supplier of these springs.
Thank you in advance,
Malcolm.

Re: PZ Suspension Sets and PZ Rear Springs - Club Stock
unfortunatly they all sold out very quickly and there are no other possible sources for genuine prodrive suspension parts.

Re: PZ Suspension Sets and PZ Rear Springs - Club Stock
I had a similar issue and failed due to suspension. I got a set off one of the club members who had replaced his following the group by. I got them sand blasted and resprayed the original colour.
They car passed the MoT no issues afterwards.

Re: PZ Suspension Sets and PZ Rear Springs - Club Stock
What I've done with mine was to modify the PZ shock body to take the stock spring seat ( removed from some scrap stock shocks)
this then allows you to use any stock spring
I've got the Tein S set on mine and its a good match for the PZ shock
