This is the feedback that I left on the EssexRotary FaceBook page 7 months back.....it stands as true today as it did then (particularly in light of the fact that had it not been for ER, my car wouldn't be running at all today [Engine Swap]).

"Aston continues to provide exceptional value and service at Essex Rotary. This is not limited to the delivery of his solid mechanical skills but extends to the advice that he provides in relation to where your specific car is in its life, and what you have planned for it in the future.

This is all backed by the enthusiasm and passion he has for Rotaries, always leaving you confident that he cares about your car as much as you do. Whether it is assistance in the hour of need, or the quest for more performance, I will be returning for more of this exceptional service. 10/10"

Not much to say that hasn't been said before. The quality of work and the value for money go hand in hand. Aston is friendly and extremely knowledgeable on rotary engines. I would never consider taking my RX8 anywhere else.

Not feedback as such, as I do my own servicing and other work, but I know Aston and can confirm his passion for the rotary cars and good customer service.

As such, I'm more than happy to add my personal endorsement for Essex Rotary.

Another happy customer here. :D I needed a service (engine and diff oil change) at short notice prior to the MOT and Aston was good enough to do it the same day I phoned, just a day or so before he was due to go away. =D>

The biggest recommendation I can make is that Aston will not try to bulls*** you, but tell you how it is and give you an honest opinion, and in addition will treat you car just as he would his own. Knowledgeable and willing, with customer service being a priority, something you find little of nowadays.

I just wanted to thank The RX8 Owners Club for the Essex Rotary recommendation, as of this Monday I am now the proud owner of a lovely 54 plate 231 in Strato Blue. A truly nice car with everything as it should be and an absolute pleasure to drive, to say I'm chuffed is an under statement! Christmas definitely came early!

Also, it was great to meet Aston and his dad of Essex Rotary, they are great guys who are completely passionate about RX7's and RX8's and this shines through in every interaction I have had with them, whether via. email or in person. They couple this passion with a solid understanding of all things rotary and great customer service and I cannot recommend them highly enough.

I will definitely use them again and again.

Just wanted to say thanks to Aston and Essex Rotary. I had a few questions which Aston answered for me. Nothing was too much trouble, even dropping the car off late one evening and arranging for a Saturday pickup.

Service, diff and gearbox oil change plus SS brake lines and new discs and pads all round. Was blown away with the knowledge and the passion for RX7 and 8's that Aston has.

Will definitely be back again.

Just wanted to thank Aston for the work he's done on my R3.
New discs, pads, coils, leads, oil change and filters.
All done at short notice and was able to pick up the car late in the evening at a time that suited me.
You wouldn't get service like this at a Mazda dealership. Fantastic.
Thanks Aston, car is running like a dream now.

Will be back soon for the spark plugs you recommend and maybe to fit some Lockwood grills.

What a lovely guy Aston is.

Many thanks for fitting the two rear braces, really noticed the extra stiffness driving on those bumpy central London streets, had to get out and turn down the damping on the rear shocks.

Thanks again for all your help and advice.

Ranjan.

If you need work done on your rotary vehicle, Aston is your one stop shop: servicing, repairs, mod fitment and consultations on rotary paranoia.

Excellent communication: I have an email chain as long as my arm with him, he always responds within half an hour (usually quicker).
No BS: every time I have discussed my hair brained schemes for the car with Aston, he has given it to me straight and brought me back to reality. He has sold me the stuff he uses himself.
Top quality work: Aston is extremely knowledgeable, scarily so at times, whenever I have asked him a question about the car he knows the answer without even thinking about it. When he wasn't sure, he did the research for me. There is no question in my mind that this knowledge extends to mechanical expertise too.
Value for money: quotes for parts and labour are transparent and always sound like excellent value to me.

Paid Aston a visit for a comp test today, no starting issues with the car but wanted it checked out as I am considering
selling up.

Superb service as always, and lot's of free friendly advice. (you have now got me thinking about keeping her)

Visited Essex Rotary again today for Aston to replace my rather rusty looking sump with a nice, shiny Greddy model :D Relieved to see no discernible sign of copper in the oil sump, so bearings hopefully still in good shape at 69k miles. Hope the new sump will help on trackdays due to increased oil capacity (about 600cc), internal baffles to ensure more reliable oil pickup, plus improved cooling due to being cast aluminium.

Took the opportunity to refill with Synionic oil and fit higher pressure Racing Beat oil regulator to further pamper the bearings :D

Whilst at ER, also decided to pick up some more Surf City products (10 year birthday present to my car  )

Oh, and Aston persuaded me to have my ECU remapped to adjust dwell time on the BHR coils and lower temps at which the cooling fans cut in.

Excellent service from Aston throughout the visit today and nice to chat to his dad Wayne too.

Wallet now a lot lighter.....

Provided me with the necessary bits and advice to help prolong the life of my car and improve my driving experience. No messing about. No scare mongering. No fibs to try and get you to have more work done. An honest rotary enthusiast with a wealth of knowledge and experience plus the willingness to help others.
Big thumbs up and thank you.

Just adding my thanks to Aston and all involved at Essex Rotary for fitting my new oil lines, new headlights complete with LED halos, vent pod gauges and a nice new battery etc and all done within just a couple of days or so despite his being very busy and having loads of other stuff needing doing. I'm very happy with the results :D ... no surprises there of course, just as there were no surprises with the excellent quality of the work and customer service that keeps us all coming back :salut: (I could do with my wallet being a little less empty of course ... you do know I'm a pensioner Aston?  ).

What can I say that hasn't already been said?

Driving into Essex Rotary is a Rotorhead's wet dream. Tons (literally) of various rotary cars lined up either side, a veritable Honour Guard standing watch, welcoming you to the promised land of Rotary excellence.

You can tell that Aston, Wayne and Ryan are committed, working in all weathers with every bit of the care and consideration you would show to your own car.

Step into the office and tempt yourself with all the shiny gubbins on display, add that to the no bull free advice Aston & Co freely hand out, it is safe to say that you are your car are in very safe hands at Essex Rotary.

Had my 8 mini-mapped @ Essex Rotary, to take full advantage of the BHR coils, increase the OMP output, limit engine revs while cold, optimise the cooling fans and avoid any issues when removing the SAP in the future.

All to be recommended.

Aston was as helpful and friendly as usual.

Thought i'd add to the Aston fan club

Just had the plugs, leads, packs done by Aston and his brother and added an Ecu re-flash. Also as a bonus, not only did they give me some great advice about looking after my car, but they also discovered i have no cat, which makes me question how the car passed it's MOT from the dealer i bought it from . But anyways, great bunch of lads, including their dad. Great place to chill, chat about cars and whatnot, and properly made me feel welcome. Thanks again!!

Defo gets some work done in the future once i got the monies.....
