Quick correction this weekend

Post by MarkG M3CP » Sun Jun 16, 2019 10:28 pm

In preparation for its engine rebuild this week, the Kuro was treated to a revival of its flat (brown!) paint.

That looks awesome. Mine could really do with a proper sort out. Will need a respray in certain parts first though.. :|

You might be surprised - my paintwork isn’t perfect but I’m delighted with the overall look.

I can't wait to finish mine and get that sparkly (brown) paint shining. Good work :thumleft:
Phil's subtle sunlight silver - stronger, faster, with added red bits and stuff engine donor!
Operation Mint - Kuro preservation project
The pimped out Glacier White XE - quintessential British motoring from Jaguar

Yeah my front bumper needs doing so many stone chips it's untrue!

Looks good with that beading. Always rewarding getting it looking nice and clean, just takes a bit of time effort and some decent products and it's amazing what you can do.

I would like to get my front bumper resprayed then ceramic coat it

Chipex gives much better results than touch-up paint and is perfect for stone chips on the plastic bumper and alloy bonnet with no concerns of rust.

Iv used chipex with varying degrees of success, iv yet to get it perfect applying how is stated , may try it with sanding and maybe a small airbrush.

Heres a before and after on a horrible chip above the petrol cap.

Sparkling black certainly lives up to it’s name when weather conditions permit, a good polish and wax certainly helps too
