PZ exhaust - Worth anything?

Post by 350matt » Fri Sep 22, 2017 6:54 am

Peeps

I see that the PZ exhaust is often mentioned as being a good option for a nicer exhaust note? is it worth anything in cash and power over the stock exhaust? as I've been told that its a full Stainless system? is it any larger diameter? Is it louder than stock ( which would indicate its better flowing less back pressure)

just made up a new catted pipe from my old ghetto decat pipe and a 200 cell cat I had lying around so its now smelling much sweeter just the rest of the exhaust isn't wonderful

Is that a high temperature cat you've used? Don't expect a normal cat to last long in a rotary.....

The PZ exhaust is not what you personally will be looking for.

I have a de catted PZ and like the noise it makes , a bit more of a rasp than stock , much quieter than say a toyo or the like

The PZ exhaust I think is actually heavier than OE when I weighed it. I say think, I didn't weigh the OE for some reason, but looked that up online - and the number was smaller than the PZ exhaust I weighed.

It is stainless, but same dims as OE. It is as far as I can tell a Scorpion exhaust, but with tips that say "Prodrive" instead.

Having had a PZ I would say it just sounds different, more raspy. No performance gains though.

I've got one in the garage, not an overly light piece of kit, which would suggest there isn't much to be gained performance wise.

Looks nice, but that's about it...

I too have one in the garage, what is good about them is the baffles don't die when you have a decat due to pops and bangs, they pass noise regs on track and look good
