Peak calculated load values required

Post by Phil Bate » Fri Jan 10, 2014 1:46 pm

If anyone has any logs handy please could you post the maximum engine load (in %) you see under WOT? If you have it, the MAF reading with IAT would be handy but not essential.

I also need to know if this is with a standard or ported engine, and am only interested in standard intakes and ECUs that have not been remapped.

Thanks in advance

Phil

Bump! C'mon, someone must have some WOT logs! I would like to see if any standard engines are hitting the 100% calculated load ceiling

I could have a go next time I'm out (later probably) but my engine is probably below recommended compression so I do to know if that matters to you..

Any will do, I'm just after the peak calculated load value during a WOT run, plus maf and iat if available but only a nicety really. Obviously do not break the law or drive unsafely and don't go out of your way to do it. There must be some track day warriors that have some logs knocking about :)

I was playing about today, and Torque offers up two separate load values, relative/absolute. Which are you after? (accepting that I've already given you everything I've got).

Didn't realise it was called something else in Torque - whichever one is parameter id 0x04 (possibly relative?) I neglected to say calculated load in the first post, I'll amend the title

Phil, got it. Several instances of wide open throttle (displayed in the log too) and the calculated and actual load values.

It's in igf format though, and I can only email it from my phone so I'll need your email address.

Well I had hoped I'd get more response than that, however after much more research and thanks to Nerdstrike and i-CONICA I have pretty much sussed this out. Cheers guys

I was trying to find some of my old logs from my EFIdude logger but I could find none. Once I am underway with my project I will get plenty of data.
