Lenny did have an issue which hasn't reoccurred since. Could have been to do with anything though as he's done a fair few mods as well as the remap. His car is running fine by the way :D

PM sent. Lenny's was first. GroupB are reputed to be very, very good if you decide to go for an R3 remap.

Dependant on the ignition and exhaust mods (need D585s and a decat) then Rotary Revs do a minimap for it. It's more to lean out the mixture a little so nothing drastic. Certainly drives smoother and butt-dyno is happy, but whether it's actually putting any more power down I doubt.

Don't know if anyone has looked at serious remapping sessions on an R3 or not yet

If your up north then I would call Ben at Rotary Revs he has the same software as me and can do the same and has plenty of experience of mapping Rx8s as we all know.

GroupB would be a complete no no, they nearly blew my car and the reason why I have a pettit supercharger is because they blew the engine on that and the guy just lost heart in the car. I personally know of 3 Rx8 engines going on their dyno

Can't speak for how it would be on an R3, but I'm extremely happy with the job Carl did on re-mapping my S1. While I'm always alert to the placebo effect, it's definitely quicker, definitely smoother. Far far more so than the standard mini-map I'd had done previously, which is reflective of the time he takes to get it right.

Carl Ryan says that he can remap an R3. I'm supposed to heading up there at some point, but not got around to it yet! :)

I cannot actually say on this one, the guy had a puncture repaired before he arrived at mine which "unrepaired" itself during the process which threw my readings out..

Even without a pictorial before and after for which I always try and do, the guy knew that it made a positive impact on the way the car feels and drives.

Gains will be inline with the S1 model but always depends on what modifications you have and how far your MAF is out. I average about 10HP peak with more across them whole range according to my virtual dyno.
