There's some evidence that, at the sort of ratios we use, premixing might actually increase the octane rating, and certainly the specific power output!

Both pre-mixing and direct oil injection were banned from F1 in the 1980's and still are today, as it's a sneaky way of increasing power and mileage.

I think they all run better on higher injection rates and premix. 5-600 ml per full tank seems to work without any negative side effects I can see. Apart from maybe a little more smoke out the back

And only barely scraping through the mot on emissions when you.forget the fuel in Jerry's is heavily premixed for track :lol:
