US forums are probably going to be more helpful.. Greddy appears to be the way forward and they do an off the shelf kit, flame shades has one I believe with an updated turbo. I don't think there are really that many turbo or S/C RX-8 on here but may be wrong.

Have a read through the threads in boost junkies section mate. You really need a full kit, a way of tuning or a piggyback ECU, rebuild the engine to cope with high boost pressure if that's what's you're going for, etc.

I may be able to give you some feedback on a bridge port in December, funds permitting ... :)

If you are quite handy there has been talk of retro fitting Eaton superchargers. I think the M92 has specs that 'may' suffice although only from what I have read.... Again, haven't seen one done but a guy sold an M60 one on here a while back, there was however a belief that it may have been restrictive in the upper Rev range.

I'd love to experiment but haven't got the in depth knowledge, funds or balls lol

Bit confused. You want to do it differently to everyone else yet you're asking people for advice on how to do it? :)

using the search feature of the site is both different and rare.....it would probably have answered at least 3 of your questions for you,
as for the Turbo kit, you need to do lots and lots of research before you go near it, i spent a lot of time reading and gathering information to get the car running right. and although you dont want to hear it, its going to cost you lots, if you dont do it right then it will cost you more, and also take your car off the road for a long time if you need to get parts/work carried out. i was lucky and done mine myself but it still cost me more than a car that is already boosted would have to buy!

thats about all i have to say on it i know of a handful of people that have done the leg work to get a boosted 8 and its done for that reason to be different,
dont think they will be sharing the secrets anytime soon (otherwise everyone would be doing it!)
