Fuel pump removal
Anybody know any tricks for removing the fuel pump those annoying tabs on the sides to be exact.
Rebuilt 05/13, Exedy clutch, 11lb FlyWheel, Toyo Full Decat system, Walbro 255lph, D585 coils+Magnecor Leads, AEM induction, Sohn

You will need the tool to do this, I tried with out and just ended up snapping everything.

Panic over my screw driver got hungry and are the annoying little tabs. All out in one peice

I gave up trying to hammer & [plastic-headed] chisel the lid off.
I got a couple of spare rings off eBay and cut the old one off. I was then able to cut off the 2 tabs completely. I used a hammer and chisel to put a ring back on.
I'm doing flow measurements with various configurations so I'm knocking the ring only as far as I need. When I've got my preferred in-tank fuel pump configuration I'll knock the ring on firmly and use a bit of mastic as extra security
